‘Worship of feminine grace? The embroidery art of Karin Zalin’.

Frans Smolders analyses the embroidered wall hangings of the American-Italian artist Karin Zalin, in: Out of Art. Magazine voor actuele Outsider Art, Yr. 11, Nr. 11, May 2016.

Zalin’s creative work takes place in the semi-darkness of a damp Venetian basement, dimly lit by a single light bulb. There, Karin Zalin (1951) makes her large tapestries out of waste material from a textile workshop.
