Christ calls Zacheus to come down from the tree

Visser, Arie

A double signed pencil drawing of a tree with an enormous canopy and branches drooping down on the right. Four bearded figures stand in a row, not behind each other, but next to each other, each with meters between them. Christ, with a jet-black spying eye, has raised his hands to a man in the tree, who deliberately turns away his head. As always, the title is written in the image.

The empty landscape and the tree trunk are hatched, in the familiar Arie Visser style. The dense crown of leaves is drawn using a swirling spiral technique.
