The initials A.C.M. stand for a married couple: Alfred is the author of the works and Corinne Marié, his wife, takes care for him and bridges the gap between Alfred and the outside world.
A.C.M. builds assemblages of mechanical parts of typewriters, radios, alarms, clocks. He grades them carefully according to shape and colour. Next thing is to mount them with care and to smear them with all kinds of material (acid, grease, paint).
